Regular maintenance is vital to insure top performance and a long life for your PC. Follow these tips on looking after your computer and your computer will look after you!

1. Back up all your important files regularly

2. Empty your RECYCLE BIN regularly

3. Perform a Scan Disk

4. Perform a System Defragmentation

5. Empty unwanted cookies and temporary Internet files.

      6.Place the “disk cleanup” icon on your desktop and make  a

        habit of utilizing it to keep your system organized and  

       functioning smoothly

 

How to empty unwanted cookies and

temporary Internet files

 

In Microsoft Explorer:

·        Open Internet Explorer

·        Click on “tools”

·        Click on “Internet Options”

·         In the  “Temporary Internet Files” section, you can simply click on “Delete Cookies” and “Delete Files” to clear these files.

If you want to see what you are deleting first, click on “Settings” and then “View Files” and you will see a list of cookies and cached files on your computer. (One way to see which web sites someone has visited from your computer.)

 

           Click “OK” when it prompts you about deleting 

           temporary files
